The day the tonsils were no more

After lots of sore throats and many many rounds of yucky tasting medicine, it was finally time for the tonsils to come out. June 25 was the big day. We had no idea we would be cutting it so close to the arrival of little Lucy...but it all worked out well.

Really, I couldn't have asked for a better experience for our little man. He complained very little, and slowed down almost none at all. Much more worry went into it than was necessary...it all went off without a hitch.

Our toothless wonder

Well, maybe "toothless" is a bit of an exaggeration, but Miss Lil' did in fact lose a tooth this summer! I'm "back blogging", so I don't have the exact date, but by looking at my camera dates, and knowing it was when she had her cast on her leg, I've narrowed it down to the end of May or the first of June. The tooth fairy was very good to her. :)

Happy Due Date, Lucy

Thursday, July 15, is officially Lucy's estimated due date. It's just kinda weird for us to celebrate such a thing...Landen didn't make his appearance until he was 8 days overdue; Lily was a day overdue; and we celebrated Lawson's due date while in the hospital when he was a day old. So, how exciting that Lucy is already 2 weeks old on her due date? :)

She came into the world with a pouty face. Maybe she didn't like her sudden entrance into the world, falling out of mom's c-section incision. Maybe she was sad because her blood sugar was so low? Or maybe she knew of the heel pricks to come to assess her blood sugar and level of jaundice. Whatever...the pout is adorable, in my opinion. We had just arrived back to our room, after surgery. I remember the trip this time - yay! My recovery has been most definitely awesome, in comparison to the one I experienced post Lawson. Couldn't have been better, in fact.

Proud BIG brother (that sounds weird)...hasn't offered a hint of jealousy...only tender-loving kisses and hugs. Gotta love those eyelashes.

The amazing, Gateway Arch

No matter how old I get, or how many times I have seen it, the Gateway Arch in St. Louis continues to get me every.time. I just cannot imagine what it took to build the thing! I took this picture as we were walking away from the 630 ft., metal structure, located high on a hill, as LIGHTENING was striking all around us! The kids going up in the same egg elevator, that I am certain I rode in the first time I went up the Arch, probably 25 years ago.

Again, token pic to prove I was actually there.

Lawson was not cooperative. I don't think he thought much of being up in the Arch.

A day at the St. Louis Zoo

It was HOT, but we had a good time. I mean, don't get me wrong, there was plenty of whining and the such, but, that's a given most days. First, we have gimpy, who took full advantage of the stroller. Then big L, who kept trying to sneak into the stroller.

Then little L, who adamently refused the stroller.

This was the coolest exhibit. He just stood there and didn't move.

We ended the day with ice cream. Apparently, Lil's included a side of gravel.

I mostly do not like pics of myself pregnant, but I want it to appear that I was actually on the trip...so, here I am, in all my 30ish week glory.

Kid you not, we weren't even out of the parking lot.

Our trip to St. Louis

First, I must apologize. I'm embarrassed by how long it has been since I have updated the ole' blog. We have had a few things going on, lately. ;)

Next, I must apologize that as I update the blog, it is going to be out of chronological order. I cannot find my SD card from before our trip...uh, I hope it shows up. There were roughly 800+ pictures on that bad boy.

But, now to our trip to St. Louis. We had a great time. These pictures are just a few I took while at the Magic House, their local Children's Museum. The place is incredible. It is a must see if ever in the St. Louis area.

These first two pictures are outside the "House". It is a statue of kids playing ring-around-the-rosie, my kids always say. There is a spot that is just perfect for your own kiddo to get in on the action.

There is so much hands on fun in the Magic House.

Just Lawson

I tried to think what I could title this post...just Lawson. :) He's such a fun spirit. We were hanging out at church, after the Easter egg hunt and he was hamming it up for the camera. Quite the fella.

Lawson had an exciting week...we found out he gets to be in Miss Suzy's preschool class, at Cottonwood. We have been waiting for this day for quite some time. I tried to prepare him for possibly having to go to a different preschool, in case we didn't get drawn, but he would have no part of it. And neither would Lily. So to say we're all very excited, is a bit of an understatement.

So, we'll end this with, just Lawson...enough said.
